Eroded Shoreline: Dragonfly provides shoreline restoration solutions in Pensacola, Tampa, and Beyond!

Is your shoreline suffering from erosion?

Are you worried about heavy machinery causing additional damage during the restoration process?

Did you know that eroding shorelines will continue to worsen and repairs may become more costly until addressed?

Let Dragonfly Pond Works, the Florida shoreline restoration experts, put your mind at ease. We have the experience necessary to return your shoreline to a natural and safe slope. Our low-impact solutions are perfect for Florida HOA’s, golf courses, municipalities, and any areas where access is difficult and/or impact needs to be minimal. For our shoreline restoration services, we utilize our low-impact pump dredge to fill geotextile tubes with sediment from the bottom of the lake to create a natural slope. There’s no need for bringing in outside material to restore the shoreline. Our knowledgeable lake management team will efficiently restore your shoreline with our low-impact and cost-effective solutions.

Low-Impact Florida Shoreline Restoration Process

Pensacola shoreline restoration experts securing geobags to the shoreline.
  1. The crew secures the base geobag to the eroded shoreline. Additional geobags will be stacked on top of the base bag. The bags are added to create vertical height and to recreate a slope or escarpment with a proper ratio.

The Dragonfly crew moves the compact pump dredge into the lake for dredging.

2. The crew easily maneuvers the low-impact pump dredge without the need for heavy machinery that may cause (additional) damage to the area.

Pensacola shoreline restoration expert begins pumping dredged material to correct the eroded shoreline.

3. The dredge pumps sediment from the lake bottom directly into the geobags staked on the shoreline. This pumped sediment is what will create the new natural slope to repair the hurricane damaged shoreline.

The geobag is split open and the sediment dries.

4. Once the bags are filled properly, the sediment is left to dry. The top bag is then split open and the dried sediment is graded to the desired slope. The bottom base bag is left intact as a safeguard against future erosion.

Dragonfly Pond Works’ shoreline restoration expert secures matting over the dried sediment.

5. The sediment is secured with coconut matting to help prevent washout. Our Pensacola shoreline restoration experts then secure sod over the matting to complete the safe and natural shoreline.
