Colt Carpenter
Operations Manager Corrective - Charlotte

“I enjoy being outdoors and knowing that the work we do has a positive impact on the environment. Every project is an opportunity to learn, improve, and leave things better than we found them.”

Growing up around machinery and agriculture, Colt developed a strong work ethic and a passion for working outdoors from an early age. Before joining Dragonfly Pond Works, he spent 10 years working on a dairy farm, where he cared for livestock and gained extensive experience operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment. During that time, he also pursued a degree at North Carolina State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Wildlife while balancing the demands of full-time farm work.

After graduation, Colt transitioned into the construction industry, seeking opportunities that would allow him to combine his education, technical skills, and love of the outdoors. That path eventually led him to Dragonfly Pond Works, where he found the perfect fit. With nearly four years of experience in the stormwater industry and an SCM Certification, he enjoys contributing to projects that improve environmental health while operating the machinery he has worked with for much of his life.

Today, Colt remains focused on growing professionally by adapting to the evolving stormwater management industry and strengthening his leadership abilities. Outside of work, he still enjoys farming and has a soft spot for International Harvester equipment—because, as he likes to say, “If it ain’t red, it stays in the shed!”
