Joe Helsing brings a diverse professional background and a fresh perspective to his role as Client Service Manager for Dragonfly Pond Works’ DC branch. Prior to joining the stormwater industry, Joe spent years in the natural foods sector, holding managerial, administrative, and sales roles focused on brand development and client relations. In 2022, he made a career pivot toward environmental work, earning a B.S. in Environmental Management and an undergraduate certificate in Watershed Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2024.

Before joining Dragonfly, Joe worked as a full-time stormwater inspector in Montgomery County, MD, gaining valuable field experience in system assessment and compliance. He also holds OSHA 10-hr Confined Space and Maryland Sediment and Erosion Control certifications.

Joe is passionate about sustainable urban design and the role stormwater systems play in improving public infrastructure, greenspaces and urban aesthetics.
