"Every day presents a new challenge and an opportunity to make a positive impact—helping communities while protecting the environment is what makes this work so rewarding."
Nicole brings a diverse environmental background to Dragonfly Pond Works, with experience spanning stream restoration, stormwater management, environmental education, and water quality protection. Before joining Dragonfly, she worked with The Resource Institute supporting stream restoration initiatives across North Carolina, followed by three years with the Guilford County Soil and Water Conservation District implementing Best Management Practices and educating community members of all ages. She later served as a Stormwater Analyst for the City of Greensboro, conducting stormwater device inspections, enforcing NPDES permit requirements, analyzing water quality data, and engaging with the public on environmental stewardship.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and a minor in Environmental Education, Nicole also holds North Carolina State Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Certification. Over six years in the environmental field, including two years focused specifically on stormwater management, she has developed a strong understanding of the connection between infrastructure, water quality, and community well-being.
Nicole was drawn to a career in stormwater because it offers new challenges and opportunities every day while creating a lasting positive impact on the environment. She chose Dragonfly Pond Works because of the company’s culture, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. In their role, Nicole is dedicated to helping communities proactively maintain stormwater systems and protect water resources for future generations.
