Our maintenance program includes the key maintenance and inspection tasks that keeps you in compliance with your municipality.  These customized maintenance plans- tailored to the client and the specific stormwater control measure (SCM)- will ultimately reduce the cost of the SCM over its life. After each service, we provide detailed reports with photos to document your device’s maintenance history.

Annual Inspections & Compliance Repairs

Many municipalities require stormwater control measures to be inspected annually to ensure they are being maintained and are functioning as designed to treat stormwater runoff.   Because stormwater devices are constantly changing due to environmental impacts like weather and rain events, there will be years when repairs outside of routine maintenance are needed in order to bring the device into compliance.

Vacuum Truck Services

Underground stormwater devices are strategically built beneath commercial property parking lots in rapidly developing and densely populated areas. These systems are designed to prevent flooding and protect the infrastructure by transporting excess water away from properties. They also play a vital role in filtering out pollutants and sediment, which improves the quality of local water bodies. Over time, the accumulation of debris and sediment can hinder their efficiency, potentially leading to blockages, major flooding, and system failures. Vacuum truck servicing of these underground devices is key to preventing these costly issues. Vacuum trucks utilize powerful suction to remove debris, sediment, and muck from the system.

Conversions

Most stormwater control measures, or BMP’s, begin as sediment and erosion control basins during early phases of site development to manage displaced soil and stormwater runoff. Once the site has been stabilized, these basins are converted to their final stormwater control measure as specified in the site construction plans by the site civil engineer. Working under the site design engineer, our stormwater construction teams will work to convert the basin into a post-construction stormwater control measure (BMP).

Shoreline Restoration

Shoreline erosion and dam and embankment failures can be caused by a variety of issues. Our erosion and slope repair experts will correct improperly constructed systems, restore all eroded areas, and provide erosion control measures and turf improvements to safeguard the system from future erosion. Our innovative methods, such as shoreline restoration with geotubes, riprap revetment, and grading, will provide a cost-effective, low-impact, and long-term solution.

Dredging

Most lake, ponds, and stormwater systems will require dredging and sediment removal at some point during their lifespan to maintain sufficient storage capacity. In addition to conventional mechanical dredging services, we offer low-impact hydraulic dredging. Our hydraulic dredging services are ideal for HOA's, municipalities, golf courses, and other areas where access is difficult and/or impact needs to be minimal. Dragonfly can also provide any necessary grading and excavating.

Compliance Repairs

Dragonfly strives to keep you in compliance with all state and municipality regulations. Even with proper maintenance, lakes and ponds will still require occasional repairs. We can help; from restoring older systems, complete rebuilds, outlet and inlet repairs, to minor compliance repairs such as overseeding to increase vegetation.
